When Colt was getting dressed he took his pj's and threw them under his train table.
ME: "Colt, is that where your clothes go?"
COLT: "That's where I want them to go."
ME: "Well, that's not where Mommy wants them to go. Please put them in your drawer."
COLT (with a BIG grin on his face): "You can handle that Mom. You are a big girl."

Mother Nature:
We had to get rid of our rabbits - granted, they were pretty much wild, but we did feed them and they might have called our backyard their home if they could talk. BUT, the neighbors didn't like them much. I thought they were beautiful. Anyways, after two visits from the Animal Control dude and the threat of a citation. . . we prayed that we would be able to catch them, and WITH GOD we did! When Colt asked who we were giving our rabbits to, I told him "mother nature" and she has a BIG yard! So, he was ok when we dropped them off far far away in the forest, by a stream of course :-)

Darlin:
Colt this morning: "Mom, you are my Darlin! A Darlin is someone who plays with me and is nice."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boogers:
(This is an account told to me by Mama T) Colt was talking to Mama T on Skype when he started to pick his nose. Then he stopped and turned his back to the computer so she couldn't see him (and picked his nose). When he turned back around, Mama T asked Colt what he was doing when he turned around. He (honestly) told her, "I was picking my nose but it's not nice to do that in front of people."

He is learning. . .
I took the kids to Chik-Fil-A for lunch today to let Colt play with his buddy for a bit. They weren't getting along well, so I wrapped it up and told Colt we were coming home. Well, I'm embarrassed to write this, BUT he started screaming and crying "I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME!!" (repeatedly and very loudly). Not saying this was a first tantrum or anything, but it's definitely rare in our house - it's just not tolerated.
When we got home, Colt had to sit and think about why he was going to get a spanking while I brought the baby and everything in from the car . . . his spirit had changed and he actually apologized (on his own) for "crying, pouting, being mean to Mommy." I told him it was ok to "cry," but we don't throw fits or pout - that's just selfish and unthankful, and it doesn't please God or Mommy. He accepted his discipline well and went down for his nap.
Well, he just got up and came to straight to me. Crawled in my lap, hugged me and kissed me. . . THEN said (again, all on his own), "Mommy, I'm so sorry for being bad at Chik-Fil-a. I love you." Awww, my heart melted!! There IS HOPE!! haha.
I love this boy. Then, he said, "Mommy, sometimes you yell in my face too and I forgive you."
But I've never yelled in your face Colt. Mommy wouldn't do that. . .
"Well, if you did I would forgive you too."

Colt has used this word at least 4 time today - "yestertime."
YESTERTIME: A 'yestertime' is any event that has already occurred according to a 3 year old.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
David sent me this text while I was working Saturday and it made me smile. . . BIG:
(David to Colt) "I love you, Kylie, Mommy."
(Colt to David) "I just love Mommy."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another thing that has made me smile is Colt telling his friends about Jesus! We've always taught him about Jesus and remind him to share the love of Jesus. . . or when he does things that don't "please God."
The other night he told me he had told one if his friends about Jesus, but his friend already knew Jesus!
Then, we were playing at a park and he came to me just distraught that he told a little girl that God loved them and wanted them to share, and she told him he was wrong.
So much learning going on here. . . so thankful for his tender heart.

Coltisms
"tip" - is really a "pick" that he uses to play his guitar (ALWAYS a tip, never a pick)
"goggle" - is really gargle/mouth wash after brushing (his favorite past time)
lovely "pichnic" - lovely picnic
I'm glad he hasn't out grown funny pronunciations yet :-)
