Colt and I were playing soccer in the living room. He was wearing green, which being from WV made me think of Marshall the Thundering Herd. This is what I told him when he asked what team he could be, but he could NOT remember the name. Too long I suppose. . . he kept calling himself "the lightning nerd herd" for the longest time :)

Colt is really into Star Wars right now. Here is a tidbit you may not have known about Star Wars: "Mom, no star wars toot. Because they are really awesome. They have humans inside of them that toot, but they don't toot. Because they are really awesome."

Colt informed me on the way to preschool this morning that he was "growing up." When I asked in what ways he said, "Well I can get dressed by myself, and brush my teeth, and eat my food by myself . . . even when it's a little hot!" I confirmed the sad truth that he IS indeed growing up. . . and told him how sad I was because I wanted him to stay little so I could hold him forever! He replied with such comforting words, "It's ok Mom. I will visit you, but I'm still growing up."

We were talking yesterday about Colt going to WV with my parents a day earlier that David, myself, and Kylie. Nana Gail said, "Colt we have a plan don't we?" Referring to him riding with them instead of us. Colt was so excited he didn't even slow down, but said, "YES WE DO!! What is the plan again?"

Colt learned how to button/unbutton his collared shirts and has informed me that, "NOW I CAN DO EVERYTHING BY MYSELF!! Except, maybe, climb the ladder to the attic." (oh, really? that is a random thing) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Colt came running into the bathroom saying, "MOMMY! I need to tell you a secret!!" Then he stubbed his toe and say. "ow ow ow ow! Wait, Mom, that was NOT the secret that I wanted to tell you." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Colt saw a picture of girl about my age and said, "Mom, she was pretty. Even prettier than you." Should I take that as a compliment???

Kylie was playing near our fireplace this morning.  Even though there was no flame, we teach her not to get near it anyways.  Colt said, "Kylie, don't touch! I don't want you to get burned! It would take A WHOLE DAY to teach you to stop, drop, and roll!"

This is a friend of ours and Colt has come to love and sing this song - hahaha - in fact, he was quite upset that we didn't sing this song Sunday at church.

Colt was eating popcorn beside me, and I heard him crunching something.  So, I asked if he was eating the "kernels?" He said, "No, but I ate a "cranel."

We watched Toy Story 2 and started talking about going to college and moving out of Mommy and Daddy's house when this conversation started, "Mama, who am I going to marry when I grow up?  I wish I were a girl then I could marry Eddie. . ." (our 400 pound black friend) - oh my.  What do I say to that?  It made me laugh out loud.
